Children & Worship >     All children ages 3 to 7 are invited to participate in our Children & Worship program when they are dismissed from worship in the sanctuary following Pastor's story for children. The children will hear God's Word, partake in a feast, are encouraged to present God's story for themselves, and before they leave they each receive a special blessing from the leader. We are hopeful that our children will experience the beauty of worshiping God, the One who loves them and cares for them today, tomorrow, and always.

Prayer Group >     Join us each week after Fellowship Hour as we pray together in the parlor. Prayers focus on different pre-scheduled concerns each week. Intercessory requests are also welcomed each week.

Thursday Morning Bible Study >     When our bible study ended in June we were nearing the end of our study on "The Revelation of Jesus Christ". When we return in September we will finish the last three lessons of that study. At the completion of Revelation, we will begin a study on "Twelve Women of the Bible". We will study their stories of triumphs and failures and discover new insights and be challenged, encouraged and empowered to face trials in our own life by drawing nearer to God. Our first meeting will be Sept. 14th, at 10 a.m. in the church parlor. If you are new and would like to join us please advise Janis Ernst call me so she can order extra books.

Sewing and Craft Weekend at Fowler >     We will be having a sewing/craft weekend retreat at Pine Lodge the weekend of November 10-12. Please look for the sign up sheet in Fellowship Hall if you are interested in joining us. Talk to Sue Cerreta if you have any questions.

Roast Pork Dinner & Craft Fair >     Please mark your calendar for these two very popular November 4th events. Details will be available soon for the pork dinner. Again this year, we will be setting up our craft fair upstairs in the choir room while the dinner is going on. Craft workshops have not yet been set up, so we would appreciate it if you could be thinking of something you might be able to make to donate to the fair. This request is not only for the church ladies, but for the men and youth as well. Be thinking and be creative. For questions, contact Sue Cerreta, Carol Winkley or Kathy Clements.

New Outreach Opportunity for Christmas >     We have decided to try something new this year! Instead of participating in Operation Christmas Child we are going to adopt the residents in the Alzheimer's Unit at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home. The youth group will be asking for small gift donations that we can wrap and distribute during the Christmas season. Then we will be visiting and handing out the gifts, as well as doing crafts with the residents. Please keep an eye out for needed items! See Milla Paxton with any questions.

Hospitality Committee >     The Hospitality Committee recently met to begin to plan how we can assist those in our congregation who may need help with meals in the case of illness or unexpected emergency, as well as provide transportation to appointments and worship when they can't drive themselves. Should you have any questions about the Hospitality Committee, please see Carol Winkley.

Funeral Luncheons >     The church is happy to provide a funeral luncheon for its members, family and friends at the time of their bereavement. To date the church has provided over 75 such luncheons. Please contact the church office at 283-4420 as the need arises.
