MISSIONS

The Children's Feeding Program in Malawi >     This mission is carried out by the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian Women in Development Group. They provide at-risk Malawian children under the age of 5 monthly distributions of a high protein energy supplement. A child is considered rescued when they reach the normal weight-for-age range on the World Health Organization chart and maintain that weight for three months.

Dick and Donna Swart in Ethiopia >     Dick was born in Ethiopia, where his parents were missionaries. Donna moved to Ethiopia with her family when she was in the fifth grade. Her parents were also missionaries. They minister to the Daasanech people along the Omo River and run a windmill project that enables people to irrigate their fields, grind grain and sharpen garden tools. They also provide for health needs through prenatal care and immunizations and carry out evangelistic outreach.

CROP Walk >     Each Spring we participate in the Church World Service CROP walk.

Samaritan's Purse >     Each Autumn we fill shoe boxes with practical and gift items for children to the Operation Christmas Child project of Samaritan's Purse. Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
